We visited with Ivy yesterday and he explained that this lack of rain is making the colors so much more vibrant. You don’t want to miss!

Located a quick 4 miles north of town you will be amazed at the sprawling gardens!

Afton Villa Gardens, located in St. Francisville, Louisiana, is a historic and enchanting garden that has gained recognition for its captivating beauty and rich history. Originally established in the mid-19th century, the gardens were part of Afton Villa, a grand estate that fell victim to a devastating fire in 1963, leaving only the gardens intact. Today the gardens serve as a memorial to lost Southern history. Afton Villa Gardens was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. Today, these gardens stand as a testament to timeless elegance and meticulous care, providing an idyllic backdrop for your most cherished moments.

St. Francisville has inspired many artists through St. Francisville has inspired many artists throughout its rich history. John James Audubon spent time here and created many of his famous bird prints that are still hanging on our walls today. In his journal he noted “The rich magnolias covered with fragrant blossoms, the holly, the beech, the tall yellow poplar, the hilly ground and even the red clay, all excited my admiration. Such an entire change in the fall of nature in so short a time seems almost supernatural…I enjoyed the scene.” Today we have a new creative world bringing color and sound to our town!

Enjoy a new shop this weekend- the Old Crow Gallery presents the Young Artist’s Exhibit on Saturday October 4, 2025 from 5pm-7pm!
